Family bushcraft

Our Family Bushcraft experiences are the perfect remedy for getting away from the stresses of modern life, with quality time in nature as the healer.

We promise to put the wild back into you and your kids, with an adventure that you’re family won’t stop talking about. Why not give yourself a chance to reconnect with your family, slow down for a day and concentrate on what’s important to you.

If you’ve ever wanted the confidence and skills to light campfires with your kids, teach them to use sharp tools safely and build awesome shelters that really keep the weather out then experiencing one of our Family Bushcraft days is just the ticket. Our sessions are not about experiencing hardcore survival in extreme conditions, they’re geared to bonding with your family in nature whilst you learn engaging and fun skills that you can then take to the outdoors to enhance your own family camping trips.

Skills you will learn

All activities are led by qualified and experienced Bushcraft Tutors against the against the backdrop of the National Trust’s beautiful Chirk Castle estate with ancient woodland, rolling parkland and footpath network. You’ll go away feeling confident and with the right skills to be able to have wilderness adventures of your own with your kids.

We believe that today’s children need to see that the outdoors is not a scary, uninviting place but a place that they can (with the right skills) not only survive, but thrive! Our mission is for all children to get the chance to develop a love of nature and outdoor living, and enjoying bushcraft is a proven way to do just that. We also aim to develop kids that are able to manage their own risk, be responsible for their own safety and have an awareness of their impact on the environment.

So, what are you waiting for? Bring your family to the woods and “find your wild!”

Family Bushcraft sessions can also be run as private group bookings. If you’d like to know more, just get in touch.

Super knowledgeable, down to earth and all round awesome! I always learn so much from these guys, whether it’s attending their home-ed forest school sessions with the kids, or one of their adult events which are fab! I can highly recommend their mindfulness and bushcraft days ? Spend a day outside, reconnect with nature, re-energise… you won’t be disappointed!
