Get a head start on your foraging season and walk the wild food trail.
Want to find wild food in your local patch? Join our monthly workshops online, with James & Lea from Woodland Classroom. Enjoy finding, harvesting and cooking with wild food every month during our online workshops.
Winter’s chill is still very much in the air, but things are changing in the woods and hedgerows, sugary sap is bubbling up inside the trees. There are wild foods to be found, if you know where and how to look. We will also be looking ahead to the early Spring when wild foods are in abundance, making our plans to get the most out of the year to come. This month’s Special Guest is Dave Watson.
Our online foraging workshops have been a smash hit during lockdown, as people want to learn how to make tasty, healthy food from the wild plants around them.
In this workshop you will also get seasonal foraging tips from Special Guest Speakers from the world of wild food, bushcraft and outdoor cooking.
A ticket costs just £7. These events are selling quickly, so grab your place whilst you can 🙂 Everyone has loved these workshops so far and they’ve been really popular.
YOUR WORKSHOP INCLUDES:
* Seasonal Foraging Tips
* Early Wild Greens
* Crafting Your Wild Food Diary
* How to Tap Birch Trees for Syrup
* Special Guest Speaker: Dave Watson, bushcraft teacher & forager

With our workshops you can learn at your own pace. Join just one workshop or join us every month, you decide. There’s no commitment from you to attend every month.
Did you know that YOU can be part of the workshop too. We’re inviting all our online students to chime in with their foraging experiences during lockdown, recipe successes and failures, and any tips you have yourself to share with the class. We would love to hear from you. So, if you have something you want to share, send us an email at hey@woodlandclassroom.com We might even ask you to showcase your creation for the rest of the class as a guest speaker.
Your wild food workshop will last 1 hour and will be hosted via Zoom. Following the session there will be extra time for an open Q&A with your hosts and guest speaker. Once you book into the workshop an email will be sent you a few days before the event with details of how to access the webinar on Zoom.
HOW TO BOOK – VERY IMPORTANT!
The cost is £7, this is not per person though, only per slot. So feel free to cram as many family members around the screen as you can 🙂
Once you have your ticket, we will follow up with an email for you to register for the Zoom meeting, following which you will receive the Zoom meeting link and entry password. So, look out for that.
Please note, tickets are non-refundable.
THIS MONTH’S SPECIAL GUEST
We will be welcoming back renowned bushcraft instructor Dave Watson as our special guest speaker for February.
Dave Watson has over 30 years of bushcraft experience. He is the lead tutor at Woodland Survival Crafts. The business was established in 1995 following a 10 year career in outdoor activity centres.
Dave’s passion for ancient survival skills, or ‘bushcraft’ as it has become known, stems from his teenage years when he spent much of his time wandering around Britain in semi-wild places trying to live off the land.
Dave views the subject of bushcraft as an exciting and inspiring tool suitable for everyone, to teach life skills, environmental education, and history as well as being a perfect basis in which to impart sound spiritual lessons.
