SUMMARY:Forest Babies
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” el_class=”innerpage-rowgraphic”][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text] \nOur Parent & Toddler Group in the Woods\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”inner-pagetitle”] \nBack for a new year\, our forest play sessions for little ones have returned! These sessions are aimed at children up to 4 years of age. Parents and carers love relaxing in our woodland camp whilst their children explore our forest school space. Quality time in nature is so important for us and our kids\, fostering healthy\, curious minds for them and some time out for you. Our aim is to create a space where families can socialise whilst their kids have the opportunity to learn at their own pace\, in their own way\, with both guided and child-led activities available. You’ll discover a range of sensory and explorative activities designed to stimulate and engage your child with nature. Your session is all set against the backdrop of mixed woodland\, wetland and open meadows of Park In The Past\, with 120 acres of wild space to explore. \n“Lea and James are really down to earth and inspiring people\, great with the children and very knowledgeable. We always enjoy the sessions and can’t wait to be back after half term.” Leah Pugh (parent) \nOur sessions take place over 2 hours\, but you can arrive late or leave early to suit your child’s daily routine. In case of wet weather we have large shelters which go up over our camp circles. Our Forest Babies sessions include all this… \n\nKids can get creative in our mud kitchen\nGo hunting for mini-beasts\nMake music with our musical instruments\nRelax in our tree hammocks\nAdults can enjoy teas and coffees from our campfire kettle\nSing songs around the campfire to James’ mandolin\nMake wild art using chalks\, paints\, charcoal & more\nDiscounted entry to Park in the Past (after the session)\n\nProfessional childminders are also welcome to attend our sessions. You can explore this country park after your session as entry to the site is included\, so why not stay for a picnic\, or visit the cafe to check out their cakes. In case of wet weather we have shelters which go up over our camp circles. DESCRIPTION:[vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” el_class=”innerpage-rowgraphic”][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Our monthly group for Home Educating families. This month’s theme is “Woodland Weaving”[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”inner-pagetitle”] \nPathfinders offers monthly sessions offer quality outdoor education workshops and Forest School sessions for children aged 2 – 16 years. Our aim is to create a space where home educating families can socialise whilst their kids have the opportunity to learn at their own pace\, in their own way\, with both high quality tutoring and child-led activities available. All this is set against the beautiful backdrop of the Hawarden Estate\, which also provides us with a fantastic natural resource to base our sessions in\, providing learners with direct\, hands-on experience. \n“Lea and James are really down to earth and inspiring people\, great with the children and very knowledgeable. We always enjoy the sessions and can’t wait to be back after half term.” Leah Pugh (parent) \nActivities range from practical bushcraft skills to ecology to handicrafts\, as well as child-led play for little ones. Following feedback from Home Ed families this format appeals both to parents who want a child-led session and those who want a structured\, alternative curriculum for their kids from a tutor in an outdoor setting. \nCORONAVIRUS UPDATE: Please note that due to the ongoing pandemic there will be several additional safety measures in place during sessions to ensure that we are social distancing and minimising the spread of the virus. Restrictions will include the following: \n\nLimited numbers attending\nBring your own mugs and cups\nAdults to maintain social distancing wherever possible\nActivities which minimise use of shared equipment\nHand sanitiser to be used before and after handling shared objects\n\nFull details of how sessions will be adapted during this time will be given once you make a booking. But if you have any questions in advance\, just give us a ring. \nHere is the link to the Welsh Government advice that we’ve taken onboard regarding organised outdoor activities for children: LINK HERE[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″] [vc_column_text] \nEvent details\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”white-text”]Date: Apr 6\, 2021 \nTime: 10:30 am – 2:30 pm \nVenue: Hawarden Estate \nCost: £5 – £22[/vc_column_text]Book now [/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”14540″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]If you’re new to Pathfinders: Home Education and want to find out more about our approach to teaching\, session timetables\, upcoming monthly themes and more.
