Wild in the Woods (Wrexham)

April 26 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

£35
wild in the woods - forest school activities in north wales

Let the wild side of your child loose in the woods for a whole day of activities led by experienced Forest School Leaders this Easter holiday. Open to kids aged 6-12 years. Join us at our basecamp under the trees. You could learn how to build better dens, improve your woodcraft skills, make your own thumb stick or discover the mysteries of tracking. There will be games, crafts to take home and we’ll be cooking up some tasty campfire snacks together too. Our Wild in the Woods activity days are all about getting children engaged in the outdoors, exploring nature, playing and learning together. Warning; kids might get muddy 🙂

We always have a bunch of activites up our sleeves but in Forest School it’s the children’s creativity and curiousity that can decide exactly what activities we get up to. We provide the space, the supervision and the guidance where they need it, the children do the rest and the woods always work their magic. Kids always have the choice to opt out of activities and simply enjoy their own play or relax in the hammocks strung up throughout the woods.

Activities Could Include:

♦ Lighting your own campfire

♦ Building and creating your own campsite deep in the woods

♦ Creating our own forest obstacle course with rope walks, rope swings and tightropes between the trees

♦ Play outdoor favourite games like Capture the Flag, Firekeeper & Silent Stalker

♦ Learning some woodcraft, whittle or chop wood with sharp tools (all supervised of course)

♦ Tuck into campfire cooked snacks

♦ Plenty of opportunity for imaginative play in the woods, of course
