Creepy Crafts

October 30 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

£35
halloween activities in the woods for kids

Woodland crafts and games for kids with a spooky theme. This October half term we’re hosting a day of arts & crafts, games and fun team challenges to get kids in the mood for Halloween. Can they solve the clues to mix the right ingredients for their own magic potions? Will your kids escape the Giant Spiders Web Challenge? Can they craft their own lantern ready for ‘trick or treating’ on Halloween night?  This day is perfect for the little witch or wizard in your life that’s always making new things.

There’s a range of activites on offer:

  • Create a variety of magic potions using natural ingredients from the forest.
  • Make your own colourful lantern from willow – to light up the dark!
  • Cook up your own ‘pumpkin face’ chocolate cake over the fire.
  • Go apple bobbing.
  • Craft a spooky tree spirit.
  • Make a bird feeder to hang in your garden.
  • Get stuck into tasty campfire cooking.

All activities are closely supervised by experienced Forest School leaders. This will be a full day of Halloween inspired activities for kids aged 6-12 years from 10am to 4pm.

As well as drinking up our tasty magic potions we’ll also be enjoying some hot campfire snacks such as popcorn and marshmallows. Children should bring their own packed lunch though.

Tickets are £35 per child and we’re offering discount places of £30 for each additional sibling. Open to children aged between 6 – 12 years.

Parents don’t stay with their children during this event – but there’s plenty to see at Erddig Hall & Gardens if you want to make a day of it. Our Forest School activity days are all supervised by trained and experienced staff… that’s us. If your child has special needs that you feel would require a parent or guardian to stay with them for the day though, we would advise getting in touch with us in advance of making a booking and we’ll see what we can arrange. We like to be as inclusive as we can.
