The Dangerous Day for Kids (Wrexham)

March 29 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

dangerous day for kids

Axes! Catapults! Knives! Fires! Danger, oh my! A host of outdoor adventures for the child who loves a slice of danger with their fun! Make a proper catapult to take home, make fire using ingredients that magically burst into flames, cast your own metalwork to create an arrowhead or pendant, use sharp tools to learn carving skills, take the stinging nettle-eating challenge and more!

A full day of bushcraft adventures in the woods. The day is aimed at children aged 7-12 years.

Kids will get to try out their new catapults on our target range, test their balancing skills on our rope course and make their own cordage from spiky brambles. Of course, there will be plenty of time for woodland games and letting off steam between trying out the range of ‘dangerous’ activities we have planned.

Kids will be cooking some snacks over their campfires as part of the activities, but should bring their own packed lunch too. Drinks and shelter will be available throughout the day – your kids’ needs and comfort are important to us. Places are limited, so book early to avoid missing out.

Please be assured that all activities are closely supervised by experienced activity leaders. We want your kids to be safe, whilst they’re being “dangerous”  🙂

Get in touch if you’d like to know more. Advance booking is essential. Phone James, 07876 794098 or email us.

Tickets are £36 per child and £32 for each additional sibling. On our Dangerous Days for Kids we host a smaller group of children so that we can give them more direct attention and quality tutoring, hence the ticket price is slightly more costly per child than some of our other day events.

All activities are based around our forest school shelter and surrounding woods, with the Outdoor Education Centre as a back up in case of foul weather. Children will make new friends and learn new skills whilst enjoying a fantastic day out in nature, all led by experienced activity leaders.

Parents don’t stay with their children during this event, but there’s plenty to see at Erddig Hall & Gardens if you want to make a day of it.. Our woodland activity days are all supervised by trained and experienced staff… that’s us. If your child has special needs that you feel would require a parent or guardian to stay with them for the day though, we would advise getting in touch with us in advance of making a booking and we’ll see what we can arrange. We like to be as inclusive as we can.
